Emma Stone Is So F*****’ Perfect

A couple of weeks ago I blogged the news about Will Ferrell and Adam McKay producing the new comedy He’s Fucking Perfect (sources vary as to whether it’s “Fucking” or “Fuckin,’” but whatever). It’s a bit of a dream story for aspiring screenwriters: Lauren Kahn worked as McKay’s assistant for years and then sold the screenplay for $1 million (there’s a story in that if you ask me). He’s Fucking Perfect revolves around a young woman who Facebook-stalks the men her friends are dating so she can check to make sure they’re not weirdoes. And as if those weren’t enough reasons to hate her a little bit, now Emma Stone is in talks to star in the movie – I’m officially jealous.

GEEK FACT: Will Ferrell has been attacked by animals in several of his films. He is attacked by grizzly bears (while filming giant pandas) in Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (2004), a cougar in Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby (2006) and a grizzly bear in Semi-Pro (2008) – poor guy.

Adam Sandler Likes The Ladies

There’s seriously no stopping Adam Sandler. In his last film Just Go With It he wore a fake nose but now he’s playing a woman? Well, I guess it worked for Robin Williams (except in this film no one is pretending to be a Scottish nanny). Anyway, the basic plot of his latest film Jack and Jill revolves around Jack (Sandler) and his annoying, boisterous twin sister Jill (you know who) travels from the Bronx to visit her brothers family in LA. Cue sibling squabbling, weight gags, sex gags and Katie Holmes probably wondering if she’s done something bad in her past life to deserve this. Oh, and for some inexplicable reason, Al Pacino plays himself, or at least a version of himself.

Here Are The Hobbit Dwarves

Say hello to the Hobbit Dwarves, from left to right you’ve got Nori (ex-Orc Jed Brophy), Ori (Adam Brown) and Dori (Mark Hadlow).

“These three brothers, all sons of the same mother, could not be more different from each other. Dori, the oldest, spends much of his time watching out for Ori, the youngest; making sure he’s not caught a chill or got himself killed by Wargs or Goblins. Nobody quite knows what Nori gets up to most of the time, except that it’s guaranteed to be dodgy and quite probably, illegal. Dori, Nori and Ori are intensely loyal to each other – and whilst they are perfectly happy fighting amongst themselves, woe-betide any anyone who means harm to one of these brothers”.

Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark Trailer

Here’s the latest trailer of Guillermo del Toro’s horror film Don’t Be Afraid Of The Dark. The films about a young girl played by Bailee Madison (I loved her in Just Go with It), who goes to live with her father (Guy Pearce) and his new girlfriend (Katie Holmes) in a big old house. Naturally, there’s something (or things) in there that shouldn’t be and well, you know the rest.

GEEK FACT: Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark is a remake of the 1973 TV show of the same name.

I Don’t Know How She Does It Trailer

The Muppets Trailer Is Here!

Tinie Tempah X DJ Whoo Kid X Sandy C.

Anyone that knows me, knows that I don’t like to ask the same old boring questions in interviews. Anyway, now DJ Whoo Kid (50 Cent’s DJ) has put my Russell Brand interview on Tinie Tempah’s Foreign Object Mixtape. Home Alone House For Sale!

I don’t know anyone that doesn’t love Home Alone. Me and family love it so much, it’s become a Christmas tradition to watch it every year (which started 21 years ago). Anyway, now the famous Chicago house is up for sale for 2.4million dollars (only small change). John and Cynthia Abendshien who own the 4,250 square foot house are selling it because their daughter who became Mac’s playmate during the six-month shoot has moved out and they want to downsize. Check out the pictures and video of the iconic house below and let me know if you make an offer.

Bin Laden The Movie

Even before the news was released that Osama Bin Laden was killed, Hollywood has been planning to do a film about the Al-Qaeda leader. The Hurt Locker director Kathryn Bigelow and her screenwriting collaborator Mark Boal have been working on a film version of the book called Kill Bin Laden. Lets just all be glad that it’s not going to be anything like the 2010 Bollywood comedy Tere Bin Laden (now you know why I can’t stand Bollywood films).

Empire Reunites The ¡Three Amigos!

This is why I love Empire Magazine!

Anna Faris Wants Your Number

This looks hilarious and the fact that Mark Mylod (Shameless, Entourage, Ali G In Da House) directed it gives me a lot of hope. The flick stars Zachary Quinto, SNL’s Andy Samberg, Dave Annable, Community star Joel McHale, and Anna’s real-life husband Chris Pratt!

What’s Your Number? comes out in the UK on the 4th January.

30 Minutes Or Less Trailer

30 Minutes or Less is out on the 7th October.

New Bridesmaids Posters and Trailer

Bridesmaids is one film that I CANNOT wait to see! Just incase you’ve missed all the hype, it’s written by Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo and is directed by Paul Feig and Judd Apatow. In a nutshell, it’s the female version of The Hangover now, who doesn’t want watch that!

Will Ferrell Is Armando Alvarez

This is directed by Funny or Die veteran Matt Piedmont and stars Will Ferrell – do I need to say anymore?

Kirsten Dunst In Melancholia

Melancholia is directed and written by Lars von Trier (Antichrist). It stars Kirsten Dunst stars as Justine, a woman who is questioning her happiness on her wedding day and clashes with her sister Claire (Charlotte Gainsbourg). You’d think that would make the bulk of the movie? but it doesn’t. Another planet has emerged from behind the Sun and is on an apparent collision course with Earth. It’s a strange combination of genres (think Margot at the Wedding meets Armageddon). Check out the trailer below to see what I’m talking about.

Melancholia comes out in the UK on the 1st July.

Rise of the Planet of The Apes Trailer Teaser

Hello Ceaser aka Andy Serkis! He’s the leader of the new ape revolution in Rise of the Planet of the Apes. The film comes out in the UK on the 5th August and also features James Franco, Tom Felton, Freida Pinto, John Lithgow and Brian Cox.

Daniel Radcliffe Is Scared

No, it’s not that evil Lord Voldemort, Daniel is starring in the new film The Woman In Black. It’s directed by James Watkins (Eden Lake) and adapted by Kick-Ass co-writer Jane Goldman from Susan Hill’s ghost novel. The film isn’t out in the UK until the 28th October but have a peek at the teaser and behind-the-scenes video below – it doesn’t look too bad!.
