Man On A Ledge Poster
This poster does exactly what you’d expect from a film with the words ‘man’ and ‘ledge’ in the title but it adds a whole mess of police choppers, SWAT teams and bystanders to crank up the jeopardy levels to ‘nerve-jangling’.
The film stars Sam Worthington, Jamie Bell, Elizabeth Banks, Ed Harris and Anthony Mackie and hits the UK on the 27th January 2012.
GEEK FACT: Jamie Bell was in a relationship with Evan Rachel Wood (June 2005-September 2006).

James Franco Covers Flaunt Magazine
The gorgeous James Franco is covering the latest issue of Flaunt Magazine and here’s what he had to say:
On his artistic vulnerability: “I want to pull back the curtain, because what goes on behind the scenes is often more interesting and informative. We are so used to presenting films and art that are polished and impenetrable – they are well-crafted to the point that there is no messiness, and in some senses, not quite human.”
On criticism his work isn’t easily understood: “I don’t think what I’m doing is confusing … What is confusing is that I’m an actor in mainstream film and the poeple that usually comment on mainstream film are idiots, and they don’t try to think outside of their pop-culture commentaries. It’s so easy to criticize contemporary art from the outside.”
GEEK FACT: James Franco has directed short films for two R.E.M. songs, “Blue” and “That Someone Is You” from their 2011 album, “Collapse Into Now”.

BLACK WIDOW: “The other day we were doing this big reveal shot of all the Avengers. Thor has got his hammer, Cap’s got his shield, Hawkeye has his bow and arrow, and Hulk is huge. Then it pans over to me and I’ve got guns. Iron Man’s like, hovering above all of us, ready to go,” says Scarlett Johansson. “I was like, ‘Joss… um… do I look okay holding these guns?’” Whedon’s response reassured her: “She’s a total badass. She’s a killing machine.”

Michelle Williams Dreams About Quitting Acting
Michelle Williams covers this months issue of Hobo Magazine.
On dropping everything: “I often dream of quitting acting. Walking away and becoming a laundress or a sous chef or maybe writing other people’s love letters for a living. Clearly, I don’t like to be in charge. And thinking of quitting is just keeping going in disguise. When you have options, anything is bearable. It’s when a situation is inescapable that it becomes hell.”
On her concept of home: “I also realized as soon as you make a place home, you invite entanglements, and Portland seemed like a place that I would want to keep free from that. As long as I don’t make it my home it stays perfection. I can miss it, I can yearn for it, I can fantasize about it and I can visit it and have the best time.”

Justin, on the audition process: “In films, I didn’t crave the type of attention I had sort of stumbled into in my music career. And I do not audition well. I’m really not good at it. Early on, I did movies like “Alpha Dog” and “Black Snake Moan” because the directors didn’t ask me to audition.”

Ridley Scott’s Life In A Day
I blogged about this last year and now Ridley Scott has completed his exciting new documentary and here’s the poster! Back in July (the 24th to be exact) he asked people from around the world to capture their lives on film and then post their videos on You Tube. Anyone who has been lucky enough to have their work included in his film will be credited as a co-director.
Kevin MacDonald who directed the Last King of Scotland has edited the film and it will be out in the UK on the 17th June!

New Sucker Punch Pictures
I must have blogged about this film 100 times already but I love chicks that kick ass! This flicks about Baby Doll (played by Emily Browning) who is sent to a mental institution by her evil stepfather (he sounds nice). But instead of dealing with reality, she turns to a world of fantasy in her head where she and her other female inmates try to escape from the facility – you go girls!. It’s directed and written by Zack Snyder (Watchmen and 300) who’s described the film as ‘Alice in Wonderland’ with machine guns’ – I better book my ticket now!
Sucker Punch comes out in the UK on the 1st April.
