Check out the poster in The Hollywood Reporter of Nelson Mandela’s biopic film Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, starring Idris Elba. Directed by Justin Chadwick, the film follows the freedom fighter’s journey from childhood to his election as president of South Africa. The film was shot in 16 weeks in Cape Town, Johannesburg and the Eastern Cape. The film also stars Naomie Harris (Skyfall) as Mandela’s wife Winnie, and features South African stars Tony Kgoroge, Riaad Moosa, Zolani Mkiva, and Terry Pheto. Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom will be hitting our screens on the 3rd January 2014.
